Anne M. Kenny, MD

Dr. Kenny is a professor at the University of Connecticut Health Center She received her undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Nebraska. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Geriatrics) at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Dr. Kenny’s research focuses on prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and frailty in older adults. Her work explores the effects of testosterone bone health, muscle strength, cognitive performance, cardiovascular risk, and prostrate in healthy older men selected for low testosterone. This focus will now be expanded to assess the effects of testosterone in frailer men who have had a hip fracture. In addition, she is evaluating the effects of vitamin D supplementation on bone and muscle strength in older men and women.
